Pretzelmaker Adds Lemonade Flavor, Facebook Promo

Pretzelmaker/Pretzel Time announced that the company will offer new Wildberry Lemonade as part of its mid-summer menu. The new flavor is being supported by a Facebook sweepstakes, "Pretzelmaker's Main Squeeze," found at the pretzel chain’s Facebook page. The sweepstakes, which offers a weekly $100 prize, runs from August 5 through October 13. Both brands are managed by NexCen Franchise Management Inc., a subsidiary of NexCen Brands Inc.

The new Wildberry Lemonade is a blend of lemons, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and cherries. The beverage is being offered in addition to the company's original lemonade.

Through the Facebook sweepstakes, guests are invited to upload a picture of themselves with a Pretzelmaker's Wildberry Lemonade both to their profile and the Pretzelmaker Facebook page. Every Wednesday for 10 weeks beginning August 12, a fan will be selected at random to become Pretzelmaker's new "Main Squeeze." Winners will be awarded a $100 American Express gift card and will be featured as the brand's profile picture for the duration of the week.

"The Wildberry flavor, crafted for the summer season, is a new twist on Pretzelmaker's classic lemonade," says Jenn Johnston, senior vice president of brand marketing for NexCen Franchise Management. "We opted to support the product launch with a Facebook initiative that directs customers to not only try the product, but also to share it with others. Our aim is to spark conversation and gain some real-time insight into how our customers experience our products."
