Following Subway’s successful $5 footlongs campaign, Quiznos today launched a limited-time offer of its Deli Favorites for just $5.

“Quiznos is offering abundance and high quality large meals to customers at a great deal,” says Steve Provost, Quiznos Chief Marketing Officer. “Our $5 large Deli Favorite sandwiches are not only made with premium meats and cheeses cut fresh in store, and bread made especially for toasting the Quiznos way, but they also have 49.2 percent more meat than Subway’s similar $5 footlongs.”

“We are pleased to donate 1,000 of the newly priced $5 large Deli Favorites to America’s road Home,” says Greg Brenneman, Quiznos CEO. “America’s Road Home was created to support homeless families across the country. This donation will be distributed by America’s Road Home and will go to support families in need.”

For the month of May, all Quiznos large sandwiches will be on sale, including the Deli Favorites at $5, the Signature Classics at $7, and the Premium Steak sandwiches at $9.

The Quiznos promotion will be backed by $12 million in national advertising and commercials produced by Cliff Freeman & Partners. The commercials show consumers literally eating $5 to dramatize the point that Americans, strapped by rising gas prices and the credit crunch, are looking for the best value.

“Cliff Freeman’s team has effectively used humor to capture the dilemma that our consumers face,” says Steve Provost. “While the price point is new, the deli favorites are classics that focus on the highest quality ingredients, fantastic chef-inspired flavor profiles and larger than large portions.”

Quiznos has been selling its Deli Favorites for more than 4 years. These sandwiches, on sale now for $5, include:

Oven-Roasted Turkey & Cheddar: Oven-Roasted Turkey, Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo

Honey Ham & Swiss: Ham, Swiss, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo

Tuna Melt: Tuna salad, Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo

Roast Beef & Cheddar: Roast Beef, Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo

This limited time offer is now available at participating Quiznos restaurants nationwide.
