Silverland Bakery Celebrates 30 Years with New Trio of Desserts

Silverland Bakery, a commercial purveyor of brownies, bakery bars, natural food bars, and cookies, has announced that it will celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary—along with the launch of the Blueberry White Chocolate Cookie, Passionate Pomegranate Food Bar, and Gluten-Free Flourless Chocolate Brownie—at the National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show in Chicago, May 18–21.

To kick off the celebration, Athena Uslander, founder and president, and her daughter Leila Uslander, director of marketing, will offer samples of the latest products, which preview the company’s soon-to-launch line of retail-ready packaged natural food bars, brownies, cookies, and bakery bars.

Athena Uslander, a, structural engineer, Dove model, and wellness enthusiast, has been crafting handmade brownies, old-fashioned bakery bars, cookies, crispy rice treats, and natural food bars for consumer and wholesale clients for 30 years.

“I started this business baking brownies in a hot, 400-square-foot storefront while I was pregnant with my daughter,” she says. “Now that we are approaching our 30th anniversary and Leila is working alongside me, I can’t think of anything that I would have rather been doing for the last three decades.”

The new product offerings include the Pomegranate Pistachio Passion Food Bar, Gluten-Free Flourless Chocolate Brownie, and White Chocolate Blueberry Cookie.

“The average consumer is looking for a natural indulgence made with local, quality ingredients,” Uslander says. “We can offer restaurants, café, and retailers nationwide a taste of the bakery around the corner, even for their most discerning customer.”
