With the heat of summer fast approaching, Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX - News) welcomes the season with the arrival of its refreshing classic cold coffee beverages. Flavors come alive when freshly brewed Starbucks Terraza Blend is served over ice, lightly sweetened and customized with or without milk.

“Many of our customers enjoy coffee and espresso-based beverages over ice during the summer months,” says Dub Hay, Starbucks senior vice president, Coffee & Tea. “Our unmatched coffee expertise provides a consistent, delicious cup of coffee--whether served hot or over ice. We’re committed to offering customers the world’s highest quality coffees available.”

For a limited time, Iced Brewed Coffee will be featured at a promotional price of $1.95 for a Grande (16 fl oz), at all company-operated Starbucks locations across the U.S. through June 29. Depending on the market, customers will save anywhere from $0.25 to $0.45.

This summer, there are many ways to enjoy an iced beverage, whether it’s a classic Iced Brewed Coffee with or without milk or your favorite espresso drink, such as Iced Caffè Mocha or Caramel Frappuccino Blended Coffee. Whether you prefer to sip in store, take your beverage on the go or brew your own at home, Starbucks makes it easy to stay refreshed.

Brewing at Home

Wondering which coffees make the best iced coffee at home? Whether customers purchase whole bean coffee in a Starbucks store or in the coffee aisle at their favorite grocer, African coffees make a wonderful option for brewing iced coffee because hints of citrus and floral notes become more pronounced when iced. African Kitamu can be found where you buy groceries in the U.S. for a suggested retail price of $9.49 (per 12 oz) while Starbucks stores offer Kenya for a suggested retail price of $10.65 (per 16 oz) or Ethiopia Sidamo for a suggested retail price of $10.45 (per 16 oz). Their rich flavors evolve as they cool, making it exhilarating served hot and delightfully refreshing over ice.
