Nestlé Toll House cafés are cropping up across the nation, with the two newest locations opening in Shreveport, Louisiana and Lakeland, Florida. The stores are the fourth and fifth of 18 new cafés set to open this year under a long-term master lease agreement signed in October 2013 with Rouse Properties, Inc., a national owner and operator of regional enclosed malls.

Last month, Nestlé Toll House Café made its debut at Shreveport’s Mall of St. Vincent and at Lakeland Square Mall near Tampa. Both serve up freshly baked cookies, premium Nescafe Milano coffee, ice cream, and an array of treats.

The cafés are also among the first in the country to feature the chain’s enhanced kiosk concept, including comfortable seating, digital menus displayed on eight LED screens, and an upgraded design that showcases the brand’s product offerings in a more efficient and attractive manner. Bar seating is available around the sides of the kiosk in addition to tables and soft seating in the adjacent area.

“We’ve wanted to introduce our bakery café to Louisiana for a long time, and we found the perfect franchise partners to lead the way,” says Shawnon Bellah, senior vice president of global operations for Nestlé Toll House Cafe. “I know it’s going to be a very popular addition to the mall’s center court. That same feeling of warmth and relaxation is also what we’re offering shoppers at Lakeland Square Mall and throughout the Sunshine State.”

Along with its Nestlé Toll House cookies and cookie cakes, the new cafés serve brownies, muffins, smoothies, ice creams, and Nescafé specialty coffees. The cafés are also a lunch option, thanks to its made-to-order Crepes and Panini sandwiches.

The Lakeland and Shreveport locations are the 123rd and 124th Nestlé Toll House Cafés systemwide, respectively.
