Whataburger announced that through its company-wide Christmas toy drive, employees of the burger chain donated more than 3,000 toys to fire-rescue departments in seven cities.

The toy drives coincided with “Whataburger Serves,” a new long-term initiative from Whataburger.

“Whataburger is dedicated to serving the community,” says Tom Dobson, chairman and CEO of Whataburger Restaurants LP. “Our employees are always willing to help each other and our community. The outpouring of support for this initiative was amazing.”

The toy drives were held in Dallas; San Antonio; Houston; El Paso, Texas; Corpus Christi, Texas; Waxahachie, Texas; and Pensacola, Florida, and were collected both at the local restaurants and corporate offices. The toys were then donated to local fire-rescue departments in the cities and were distributed to area children.
