Your Pie celebrated the grand opening of its first Atlanta location with free pizza for the first 50 customers. After that, customers purchased pizzas for just $3.14. By the end of the day, more than 800 customers attended the event.

The price structure refers to Your Pie’s annual Pi(e) Day Celebration, which honors the infinite 3.14 math constant (π) used to calculate the dimensions of a circle. Pi Day is observed worldwide annually on March 14. Five years ago, Your Pie was the first pizza chain to mark the day.

“Pi(e) Day is always busiest day of the year. There is no better way to announce our Atlanta arrival than free pizza for the first 50 people and Pi(e) Day pricing for everyone else,” says Drew French, founder of Your Pie.

Your Pie is located at 5 West Paces Ferry Road in Atlanta, at the heart of city’s Buckhead district. This is the company’s 19th location. French founded Your Pie in 2008 in Athens, Georgia. His goal has always been to make Your Pie unique and fun with great tasting pizza. For Atlanta, Buckhead is just the beginning. By the end of 2014, Your Pie will have at least four pizzerias operating in the Atlanta market.

“Our hand-tossed dough, brick-oven baking technique, and mouth-watering tastes are our primary differentiators,” says David Barr, Your Pie chairman of the board.

Along with delighting Atlanta’s customers, Your Pie is a job creator. The company’s four Atlanta pizzerias will generate approximately 100 jobs.

Your Pie aims to reach 100 locations in the U.S. by the end of 2015.

“We love our pizza and can’t wait to share it with all of Atlanta,” French says. “This is step one of a growth plan that will bring Your Pie to many new markets in the coming years.”
