On December 22, Tijuana Flats, known for its made-to-order, fresh, Tex-Mex fare and vibrant wall art, ceiling tiles and hot sauce bar, will open a location near The Mall at Millenia in Orlando, Florida. The future location known as “Tijuana Flats Turnt Up,” is a new, unique version of their “Flat Outrageous” brand. Tijuana Flats has never been a brand that is shy about expressing itself in different ways and is constantly surprising and exceeding the expectations of their guests.

The Manifesto can still be found on the wall (words that they live by), along with “over the top” service, great Tex-Mex food done Tijuana Flats’ way, and of course 15 hot sauces. It’s the same non-traditional Flats with elements that they are known for including the Hot Sauce Bar, with sauce heat ranging from “sissy” to the “death wish”—some of the hottest in the world.

The menu will feature the following:

A variety of new craft beers and sodas

Seasonal flavored lemonade (currently, Habanero Lemonade)

Grab-n-Go items such as our signature salsa, guacamole and queso so you can enjoy them at home and the option to purchase a colorful cake push up pop on the fly

New design and décor features include:

Wall finishes include patina medal surfaces and prefinished 1 x 6 wood

New furniture package with butcher block tables, banquette seating and booths

Sealed concrete flooring

Large patio with comfortable picnic table seating

The restaurant is 2,448 square feet and has 86 interior dining seats and 24 outdoor patio seats. The wall mural, a staple at all Tijuana Flats but customized to each location, depicts outrageously colorful jalapeno luchadores warding off unwanted intruders.

Located at 4693 Gardens Park Blvd., the new restaurant hired nearly 50 team members to include management, back of house and front of house employees.

“We’re ecstatic to showcase this ‘Turnt Up’ look at our new Millenia location. Our team is proud of the creative elements and attention to detail put into this restaurant. We anticipate the final product is going to evoke excitement among our current guests and new patrons alike,” says Larry Ryback, chief executive officer for the Orlando-based brand.

As the Tijuana Flats restaurants continue to grow, you will see many of the above elements in new locations. Coming in Q1 of 2017, these locations include Champions Gate, Celebration, and St. Augustine, Florida.
