Tom Colicchio & partner Sisha Ortuzar opened a new flagship location of their beloved sandwich shop, ‘Wichcraft, on Thursday. Located in the historic Garment District on 38th and Broadway, the store features ‘Wichcraft’s redesigned concept with a menu of inventive sandwiches, salads, breakfast bowls, local wine & beer and a custom blend of coffee from La Colombe, all prepared with carefully sourced ingredients from nearby farms and sustainable purveyors.

First opened in 2003, ‘Wichcraft’s 10 shops are located throughout New York City, offering a rotating selection of superior dishes crafted from the best possible ingredients, available to stay or take away.

Throughout the summer, the newest location of ‘Wichcraft will offer an exclusive sandwich, the Italian Job, celebrating Tom’s Italian heritage. Inspired by the old-school delis Tom frequented during his childhood in New Jersey, the sandwich features the bold flavors of an Italian sub—tangy olive tapenade, broccoli rabe with anchovy-garlic dressing and sweet tomato jam topped with mortadella from Salumeria Biellese. The sandwich is available in limited quantities on weekdays, starting at noon.

Designed by Mapos, the airy corner space features seating for up to 43 guests, with a mixture of rustic yet modern details including blonde wood accents, baked terra cotta tiles and a bold green color palette. Sustainable sourcing practices are prominent throughout the space, with recycled wood and natural steel as the building blocks of the high-top communal tables along the north wall. A wall of greenery, retail items and custom graphics are on display, while a custom wood lighting pendant hangs overhead.

‘Wichcraft is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and happy hour, seven days a week.
