Fresh&co, New York’s homegrown farm-fresh eatery, is debuting its newest outpost at Chelsea Piers May 17, celebrating with 50 free acai bowls for the first customers in line. Located alongside Hudson River Park, fresh&co at Pier 62 will serve convenient and healthful meals to neighborhood residents, fitness members, and park visitors alike.

The new Pier 62 location brings fresh&co’s full menu to the Chelsea Piers community, from signature chopped salads and homemade soups to sandwiches, grain bowls, cold-pressed juices and more. The outpost also exclusively offers soft-serve yogurt, a new addition to the brand’s robust, health-centric offering.

In addition the public location, the fast casual restaurant also recently debuted a new cafe-style outpost at Pier 60, located within the members-only Chelsea Piers Fitness Club. The shop offers an expanded menu of cold-pressed juices, smoothies and acai bowls, all ideal dining options for the athletically inclined.

From the Super Green Smoothie (kale, spinach, avocado, strawberry, almond milk, almond butter, dates & chocolate whey) to the Tropical Paradise Acai Bowl (pineapple, avocado, coconut butter, almond milk, banana, kiwi, strawberries & healthy seed mix) and the Heart Beet Juice (beets, carrots, celery, ginger, lime & pear), the cafes at Chelsea Piers will be the only fresh&co locations serving these nutritious, menu extensions.

“After months of dedication and hard work, we’re thrilled to be opening our Pier 62 location,” says George Tenedios, CEO and co-founder of fresh&co. “The welcoming Chelsea Piers community has a shared mission of promoting wellness via excellent customer service and convenience—it’s a truly symbiotic partnership. We look forward to serving their active community for years to come.”

In addition to fresh&co’s dual outposts at Chelsea Piers on Manhattan’s west side, the fast casual eatery will also partner on a new location in Downtown Brooklyn  at Chelsea Piers Fitness at 265 Schermerhorn Street. Slated to open in the summer, the shop will be fresh&co’s first outpost in Brooklyn.

Designed with maximum efficiency for quick and smart service, fresh&co keeps the focus on fresh, delicious food, with simple white interiors accented with touches of green. When creating the new Chelsea Piers outposts, the team took inspiration from their Hudson Yards location, designed in collaboration with the internationally acclaimed CCS Architecture in 2017. Like the Hudson Yards eatery, both the Pier 60 and 62 locations incorporate natural material elements, like wood and black steel. Committed to improving sustainable practices from construction to decor, conscious design is a priority; like all fresh&co restaurants, the Chelsea Piers locations use FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified construction materials and are LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified.

Fresh&co most recently launched their Order Ahead app for both iPhone and Android, allowing for guests to pre-order any of the farm-to-desk menu options—all in 30 seconds or less. Set to further compliment the company’s mission of making farm-fresh food easily accessible to all New Yorkers, app users receive multiple kickbacks including a $9 credit for every $100 spent and $3 off any pick-up scheduled before 10:30 AM.

Fresh&co will also continue its longstanding relationships with like-minded, community-driven organizations including: Latham Farms, Satur Farms, Red Jacket Orchards, Hepworth Farms, County Line Harvest, Bald Eagle Farms, FreeBird Chicken, Plainville Farms and more. Homegrown in New York City, fresh&co also aims to feed and nourish every New Yorker, actively supporting and donating food, time, and money to Food & Finance High School, No Kid Hungry and Friends of Karen.
