Slapfish, a modern seafood restaurant serving up bold, craveable dishes in a fast casual setting, announces the opening of a vibrant new location in Arlington, Virginia. Following the opening of its first Virginia location in Ashburn next month, Slapfish Arlington is slated to open its doors at the new Ballston Quarter complex (671 North Glebe Road) in November as it continues spreading its brand of honest flippin’ seafood throughout the East Coast.

Known for drool-worthy dishes such as the Clobster Grilled Cheese, Chowder Fries, Fish n Chip Burger and the Lobster Grinder, the chef-driven eatery has created a niche in the marketplace, serving up well-managed seafood in a relaxed setting. Catering to health-conscious individuals and those looking to indulge, Slapfish Arlington will offer an array of heart-healthy dishes including the Epic Burrito, Baja Mahi Sandwich, Simply Grilled Fish Bowl, and seasonal “Ocean Veggies,” as well as bib-worthy dishes representative of the region. With its prime location in a seafood-centric area, guests will enjoy the highest quality lobster, crab and fish sourced from the nearby ocean.

“We are thrilled about our continued East Coast expansion, and are confident that Slapfish will soon become the go-to seafood destination in Arlington and the surrounding areas,” says Chef Andrew Gruel, founder and CEO of Slapfish. “We look forward to welcoming seafood lovers from across the region to experience the freshest offerings around.”

Slapfish Arlington is owned and operated by local entrepreneur Raghu Reddy and his partners Sashi, Gangadhar and Vinod. A former IT Veteran of 24 years, Reddy always dreamed of opening his own restaurant, and when he came across Slapfish, he knew he had to be part of the flourishing concept. When his family of picky eaters couldn’t get enough of the brand’s seafood dishes, Reddy was sold and brought in several business partners to help turn his dream into a reality. The stars aligned perfectly when space became available in the up-and-coming entertainment complex, Ballston Quarter, offering the ultimate locale for the area’s hottest new seafood eatery.

“Slapfish is defining the seafood market, and we are proud to bring an incredible new concept to our community unlike anything else currently available,” adds Raghu Reddy, co-owner of Slapfish Arlington. “We live in a high-traffic area right outside of Washington D.C. with many commuters and families seeking gourmet seafood offerings, and we cannot wait for locals to fall in love with the brand just as we did.”

Founded by Chef Gruel in 2011, Slapfish started as a food truck serving boat-to-plate cuisine and quickly grew into 14 brick-and-mortar locations, with over 150 locations in development. With plans to open up to three additional locations throughout the Arlington and Alexandria counties over the next year, Reddy and his team look forward to making Slapfish a household name in partnership with Gruel.

Slapfish Arlington will be open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
