Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers kicked off its newest restaurant opening with a promotion that allows a customer to make a $1,000 donation on behalf of the chain to a local charity.

As part of the Irving grand opening, more than 260 Raising Cane’s customers registered for The Give Back Giveaway. Doris Adeniyi-Rowland of Irving, Texas, is the winner of the giveaway and selected My Friends House as the recipient of $1,000. On April 16, Raising Cane’s General Manager Jordyn Hughes presented a check to Karyn Voelker of My Friends House. My Friends House’s mission is to answer the needs of children who are removed from their homes due to physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, abandonment, or neglect.

“Raising Cane’s is committed to being an active community partner in every market we serve, especially here in the Metroplex,” Hughes says. “I can’t think of a better way to show our appreciation to our customers than by supporting the causes they care about.”

In addition to selecting the $1,000 recipient, Adeniyi-Rowland won a $100 Cane’s gift basket.
