Red Mango has signed a multi-unit development agreement with Steve Mosh for five stores in North Carolina.

Mosh’s development agreement covers a six-county corridor that encompasses the Research Triangle and Piedmont Triad, including Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Winston-Salem, and Greensboro, where the first store will open this summer.

Mosh recently retired after a 30-year career with Ecolab, a leading global supplier to the foodservice industry. During that time, he and his family lived all over the country, with stops in Chicago, Dallas, New York, and the Twin Cities, before his final transfer nine years ago to Greensboro, North Carolina.

“My family and I have lived in Greensboro longer than anywhere else, and it’s truly our home,” he says. “We’re very involved in the community, and we wanted to open a business that would benefit our friends and neighbors in North Carolina. Red Mango is more than frozen yogurt; it’s a frozen treat that meets the needs of increasingly health-conscious consumers.”

Upon retirement, Mosh decided to realize a lifelong dream and open his own business, which he has named Carolina Mango Inc.

“I started really digging into Red Mango’s company history, its evolution, and plans for growth, and I realized it was a perfect fit,” he says. “I didn’t want to be just one more franchisee of an existing, well-known brand. What I wanted was to find an emerging and exciting brand—one that I feel confident will grow into a widely known national presence. Just as importantly, I wanted to be able to introduce and grow it in my own market, and help it reach national prominence. Red Mango is a perfect fit on all these dimensions.”
