QSR magazine, a business-to-business publication for foodservice executives and operators, today named Blair Chancey editor of the monthly publication and its accompanying Web site, QSRmagazine.com. Chancey, formerly the publication’s managing editor, will take over from former editor Sherri Scott.

“I am excited about the opportunity to lead one of the top foodservice magazines in the country,” Chancey says. “As editor I look forward to continuing the magazine’s success and improving the nation’s quick-service industry.”

At the heart of QSR magazine’s mission is to enhance the positive impact of diversity on the market, improve the quick-service restaurant industry as a whole, and report and analyze trends in the restaurant industry.

In addition to overseeing QSR magazine’s editorial direction, Chancey will begin new initiatives in reader engagement.

“Quick-service operators have weathered the toughest economy since the Great Depression,” Chancey says, “but some very exciting and innovative ideas have also come out of this economy. I’m excited to begin an active dialogue with readers.”

QSR magazine and its Web site, QSRmagazine.com, are the leading sources of news and information about the $180 billion-plus quick-service industry.

For more than a decade, QSR has defined the quick-serve market, which includes traditional fast food, fast-casual dining, coffee, snacks, full-service takeaway, concessions, convenience stores, and related segments of the foodservice industry.
