Organic To Go has agreed to a multi-café contract with Encore Construction Inc., a Mid-Atlantic region general contractor specializing in restaurant construction. The multi-café deal will result in three Organic To Go locations in the D.C. area and an additional location in Arlington, Virginia.

“We are proud of our expansion into the Mid-Atlantic and believe there are a number of café opportunities and markets for our company to expand into,” says Jason Brown, CEO of Organic To Go. “John and his team at Encore provided us with the ability to expand quickly and worked to deliver our café on time and on budget.”

Organic To Go offers breakfasts, lunches, and snacks free of antibiotics, growth hormones, pesticides, preservatives, and artificial sweeteners. Entrees include organic chicken, meat, pasta, seafood dishes, and Mexican cuisines. The cafés also offer a variety of coffees and a bakery. Customers can dine at the cafés or have Organic To Go catering services provide lunch at their office or event.

Because Organic To Go shares similar values and standards with local suppliers, its ingredients are obtained from neighboring farmers, ranchers, and manufacturers. Organic To Go products are currently available in multiple venues including cafés, wholesale, airports, universities, and others.

“Partnering with a major player in the emerging organic market is a great opportunity for Encore Construction,” says John Klakamp, president of Encore. “Healthy has become a strong focus in the restaurant industry. Organic To Go will be well received in the DC market.”

In addition to being a leader in the organic market, Organic To Go promotes going green by using hybrid and energy efficient vehicles, such as the Prius, Scion, and diesel Sprinter van for catering deliveries.
