Burger King Corporation announces the introduction of the X-treme Double Cheeseburger. This limited time offer will be available for five weeks, beginning April 10, at participating Burger King restaurants in the U.S.

The nutritional breakout of the X-treme Double Cheeseburger is as follows: 367 gram serving size; 1070 calories; 660 calories from fat; 73 grams of fat; 31 grams of saturated fat; 210 milligrams of cholesterol and 1740 milligrams of sodium.

“We know that our customers appreciate the value and convenience of our restaurants, but taste is of primary importance,” said Stefan Bomhard, newly appointed senior vice president, marketing, North America for Burger King Corporation. “The X-treme Double Cheeseburger is the perfect option to meet our customers’ need for variety and great taste.”

The X-treme Double Cheeseburger contains 1/2 pound of juicy, flame-broiled beef; two slices of Monterey Jack cheese; two slices of Cheddar; and a zesty cheese sauce topped with tomatoes, pickles and onions on a sesame seed bun.

Burger King Corporation has also partnered with Dale Earnhardt, General Motors and artist Peter Max for a racing themed promotion. Starting April 10, banner advertisements on the World Wide Web will begin appearing on high profile sites such as ESPN, CNNSI, NASCAR, NBCi and Uproar featuring the X-treme Sweepstakes; providing a chance for web surfers to learn about the new X-treme Double Cheeseburger and enter to win a 2000 Monte Carlo Pace Car.
