What do bagels and runners have in common? They’re “fit” for one another. Einstein Bros. Bagels, a leader in the quick-casual restaurant industry, announced it will sponsor the 2011 BolderBOULDER 10K race, the third largest running race in the U.S., on Memorial Day.

This is the second year in a row that Einstein Bros. Bagels has sponsored the BolderBOULDER race.

“Einstein Bros. Bagels has always encouraged healthy lifestyles in the communities we serve, and partnering with BolderBOULDER again shows our commitment to that mission,” says Jeff O’Neill, CEO and president of Einstein Noah Restaurant Group. “As a Colorado-based company, we want to show our local community that we are not only dedicated to serving healthier menu items, but are committed to encouraging healthy lifestyles and activities.”

As part of the sponsorship, Einstein Bros. Bagels will have booths at Saturday’s and Sunday’s SportsEXHIBIT, where coupons and other goodies will be given out to participating runners. On Monday, Einstein Bros. will award free bagels to all of the runners at the finish line.

“We’re excited that Einstein Bros. Bagels is a partner in the race,” says Cliff Bosley, race director for BolderBOULDER. “We see this as a perfect fit, since their restaurants align with our mission of promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. Einstein Bros. offers a healthy and nutritious breakfast and lunch option, perfect for runners.”

In years past, BolderBOULDER has attracted more than 53,000 racers, runners, joggers, walkers, and wheelchair participants.
