Wingstop achieved two major milestones in 2008. The Dallas-based chain hit 1 million wings sold per day and reached the 1.5-billion-wings-sold mark.

“As our store count grows and existing locations mature, we continue to see a rise in sales and the number of wings that fly out the door,” says Jim Flynn, Wingstop CEO. “We are always thankful this time of year for our loyal patronage. With football and basketball watching events and holiday parties, we do a big business in party platters and online ordering goes up significantly.”

By year’s end, Wingstop will have opened 72 new restaurants in 2008. Comp store sales are also strong, as the chain recently posted 21 consecutive quarters of comp store sales increases.
