Andy’s Frozen Custard and the Kansas City Royals announced a multi-year partnership, naming the world’s finest frozen custard company as a Proud Partner of the Kansas City Royals.  To celebrate the new partnership, Andy’s will create a Royals-inspired treat, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Kansas City Royals Foundation. The treat, which will be unveiled at the grand opening celebration of Andy’s newest store in Tiffany Springs on March 27, will be available for purchase at all Andy’s KC region locations.

“As another great American pastime, baseball remains an accessible sport that attracts fans from all generations and is the perfect family activity,” says Andy Kuntz, owner and CEO of Andy’s Frozen Custard.  “I was born in Kansas City and have great memories of going to Royals games with my family, including the first 1973 game when the stadium was called Royals Stadium. Andy’s is excited to be a Proud Partner of the Royals and we look forward to creating sweet memories for KC baseball fans.”

As part of the partnership, Andy’s will support a variety of initiatives that benefit Kansas City kids including being the presenting partner of the popular ‘Kids Run the Bases’ program at Sunday home games, supporting Urban Youth Academy youth celebrations, and participating as an RBI Youth League partner.

Andy’s Frozen Custard half-pint FreezCretes will also be available throughout Kauffman Stadium starting with the home opener on March 28th.

“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with an iconic brand like Andy’s Frozen Custard to bring their treats to Royals fans inside The K while also benefitting our entire community,” says Alex Schulte, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the Kansas City Royals.

The Kansas City Royals Foundation, formerly Royals Charities, uses the power of sport to improve the lives of Kansas Citians by supporting education and literacy efforts, promoting healthy and active communities, uplifting our military and veterans, and more. Since its inception in 2001, The Royals Foundation has donated more than $25 million in grants to hundreds of local nonprofits, including $2.8 million in 2023.

The public is invited to the Grand Opening celebration of Andy’s newest store in Tiffany Springs (6000 NW 88th Street) on Wednesday, March 27 from 4 – 6 p.m. when the KC Royals-themed treat will be unveiled. Guests can join in on the excitement and enjoy $2 regular size one-topping sundaes all day long, take pictures with Sluggerrr, spin-to-win prizes and the chance to win free Andy’s for a year!  For updates about the partnership, visit www.eatandys.com or follow along on social at @andys.kc.
