ParTech Inc. (PAR) announced that its newly developed PAR EverServ QSR point-of-sale (POS) software was successfully implemented at two significantly different quick-service restaurant locations (franchised burger and independent coffee house). This demonstrates the flexibility and scalability of the solution. ParTech launch partner S.L. Investments (CKE Franchisee) implemented EverServ QSR in its Carl’s Jr. restaurant in Las Vegas and plans to roll out the solution to 37 of its Carl’s Jr. restaurants by the end of 2010. SIP Coffee House, a single-unit operator of a European style coffee house in San Antonio, also successfully deployed the EverServ QSR solution.

“The new PAR EverServ QSR POS system has significantly improved our speed of service,” says Bill Thorson, director of IT for S.L. Investments. “The conversational ordering feature allows us to process orders much more quickly, and the ease by which we can integrate external ordering capability gave us powerful access to new features like line busting. We are impressed with both the robust customer service features of EverServ QSR and the strength of its enterprise management capabilities.”

“The PAR POS system has dramatically improved the efficiency of our restaurant environment, resulting in an enhanced customer experience and improved control of our operation’s profitability,” says Lauren Stanley, owner of SIP Coffee House. “As an owner operator, it is great to have the same caliber POS system that large organizations have at a price point that is reasonable for independent operators. We are very impressed with how quickly we implemented the system and how easy it was to train our staff.”

“Built from the ground up using innovative technologies and an enterprise approach, we designed EverServ QSR based on four core principles: adaptability, modularity, scalability, and usability,” says Scott Langdoc, chief technology officer for ParTech. “EverServ QSR is extremely flexible. Its SOA and enterprise approach make it a perfect fit for managing franchised and larger unit chains and independent operators. With a growing network of distribution and channel partners and a solution that is designed for any size operation, now even the smallest restaurant operators can access the same advanced capabilities that large chain restaurants have.”

The Carl’s Jr. POS solution features PAR EverServ QSR running on PAR EverServ 6000 terminals. The EverServ QSR application is integrated with two other PAR EverServ modules to provide a complete enterprise POS suite. The PAR EverServ Operations Manager module’s POS back office tools provide managers with the real-time operational information to make smarter decisions faster while better managing costs and meeting operational goals. PAR EverServ Operations Reporting is a Web-based enterprise reporting service that consolidates data from multiple restaurants to provide up-to-the-minute visibility of financials, sales analysis, marketing, inventory, and workforce status. The system is also integrated with QSR Automations’ ConnectSmart Kitchen software to maximize productivity, profitability, and guest delight. S.L. Investments also tapped ParTech to assist with the implementation and provide ongoing maintenance services for the Carl’s Jr. restaurants that are deploying EverServ QSR.

Carl’s Jr. in Las Vegas went live with the PAR EverServ QSR system on July 18, and the implementation took less than two months (from the planning process to go-live).

The SIP Coffee house POS solution features PAR EverServ QSR running on two terminals: PAR EverServ 6000 and 6000 LP (low profile). The system is integrated with QSR Automations’ ConnectSmart Kitchen software to automate the order fulfillment process and eliminate the need to shout orders to the kitchen. PAR leveraged key channel partner Prism Data Systems to assist with the implementation and provide ongoing maintenance services for SIP Coffee House.

SIP Coffee House went live with the PAR EverServ QSR system on July 11 and the implementation took less than two months (from the planning process to go-live).
