This World Space Week, Shaquille O’Neal-owned Big Chicken, the star-powered fast casual chicken concept, is teaming up with Blue Origin’s nonprofit Club for the Future to inspire future generations with an out-of-this-world activity at store locations.

Launching October 24 and continuing throughout November, Big Chicken will invite guests to draw their vision of the future on Club for the Future’s Postcards to Space. In-store guests can bring their completed postcards to the Big Chicken register to receive a free kid’s sundae, limited to one per postcard. Blue Origin will fly the postcards on a future New Shepard mission, stamp them “flown to space,” and return them to the creators.

“Our partnerships with Blue Origin and Club for the Future are an integral part of bringing Shaquille’s vision of BIG dreams and BIG fun to life for our brand,” says Josh Halpern, CEO of Big Chicken. “This new activity will inspire the next generation and foster a BIG sense of wonder and possibility.”

Big Chicken and Club for the Future also developed a new education curriculum to inspire future generations about STEM careers. The lesson plans challenge students across the elementary, middle, and high school levels to think creatively about what a new menu item might look like in space. Students are invited to create a new dish with resources from space on the Big Chicken lesson page: www.bigchicken.com/clubforthefuture.com.

“By combining the excitement of space exploration with Big Chicken’s offerings, we are nurturing the curiosity of young minds and fueling their appetite for the benefit of Earth,” says Michael Edmonds, SVP of Strategy, Marketing, and Sales, Blue Origin, and President of Club for the Future.

The Postcards to Space activity will be available in select locations nationwide beginning October 24.
