Bruster’s Real Ice Cream has hired veteran chain marketing executive Jennifer Brinker as its vice president of marketing and product development.

During her career, Brinker spent more than a decade at Pittsburgh-based General Nutrition Centers Inc. (GNC), holding vice-president level positions in advertising and marketing. Her work supported the company’s revenue growth, while expanding its consumer base. Most recently, she served as senior vice president of marketing.

“Jennie brings a great depth of experience across all marketing disciplines to Bruster’s,” says CEO Jim Sahene. “That, and her understanding of franchise systems, will help drive Bruster’s sales momentum.”

Bruster’s has posted 10 quarters of consecutive same-store sales growth, with August comp-store sales up a record 11.5 percent. It is on track in September to mark 11 quarters of growth.

Named America’s No. 1 frozen treat chain in the national Consumer Picks 2015 study, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream features 150 flavors of premium, handcrafted ice cream, yogurt, Italian ice, and sorbet, with at least 24 made fresh in each shop daily. There are nearly 200 independently owned locations in 19 states and the nation of Guyana.
