San Diego’s Hillcrest neighborhood will welcome a tasty addition to its trendy streets late this summer: Burger Lounge, the San Diego-based restaurant serving organic, grass-fed beef, veggie, and turkey burgers in a retro-meets-modern setting, is scheduled to open its doors on the corner of University and 4th Ave., by early September.

The Hillcrest location is Burger Lounge’s fifth location, joining the company’s La Jolla, Kensington, Coronado, and Little Italy locations, retaining the brand’s signature chic, orange décor with a sizeable outdoor dining patio.

Dean Loring, owner of Burger Lounge, says, “We’ve been scoping out this location for quite some time and feel the Burger Lounge brand is a great match for one of San Diego’s most charming and eclectic neighborhoods.”

Winner of Best Local Hamburger Joint, by San Diego Magazine, Burger Lounge is open for lunch and dinner, serving a menu featuring all-natural beef TallGrass burgers, house-cut fries, authentic milkshakes and root beer floats, wines, and beers, organic salads, and homemade cupcakes.

“We have a simple, pure concept,” says Jim Little, executive chef of Burger Lounge. “Serving healthier products while respecting the environment are qualities we find our customers demand and truly enjoy.”

The Hillcrest Burger Lounge is located at 406 University Avenue.
