Captain D’s, a leading fast-casual seafood restaurant, has announced award recipients from its annual convention who were recognized as top performers, whose ability to lead and manage teams in their restaurants led to high sales volume throughout the year. Additionally, franchise owners of five locations were named to the President’s Club for achieving the highest sales revenue in the system.

In 2015, Captain D’s showcased its seafood expertise and product innovation with the introduction of new menu items including the Parmesan Crusted Tilapia, Homestyle Fish Tenders, and Creamy Shrimp Scampi. Through strategic rollouts of new products and limited-time menu promotions system-wide, the brand established an all-time system-wide AUV record, marking Captain D’s third consecutive year of AUV record growth.

President’s Club award winners include:

·      David Simmons, Mike Tidwell, and Wes Cummings of Milledgeville, Georgia

·      David Simmons, Mike Tidwell, and Roy Williams of Greenville, Mississippi

·      Mark Sweeney, Robert Weedon, and Dave Ludlow of Fredricksburg and Richmond, Virginia

Captain D’s also named Ben Patel, Jim and Val McClure, and Brian Smith and Rodney Coats as Developers of the Year, and honored John Murphy, Ronnie Newell and Rob Gassel with the Mission and Values Award.

The second quarter of 2016 marked Captain D’s 19th consecutive quarter of system-wide growth, generating a 3.1 percent system-wide same store sales increase, along with a surge of new franchise and corporate growth. Coupled with its ongoing menu innovation, Captain D’s credits its new restaurant design with contributing to the brand’s compounding success. To date, 47 percent of all restaurants have been reimaged to the brands new vibrant, coastal design, with another 50 locations to be remodeled by the end of this year.
