Carvel has partnered with plant-based frozen dessert company KLIMON to introduce a permanent non-dairy menu across its more than 300 locations nationwide.

The new lineup includes non-dairy soft serve, scooped frozen desserts, shakes, and Carvel’s signature Flying Saucers ice cream sandwiches. The menu features nine non-dairy flavors and more than 25 non-dairy toppings, allowing customers to customize their orders.

The launch follows more than a year of testing and product development. Carvel selected KLIMON’s plant-based formulation to replicate the taste and creamy texture of its traditional frozen desserts.

The expansion represents a broader investment in non-dairy offerings for the 90-year-old brand, which is known for its original soft serve ice cream. Instead of introducing a single non-dairy alternative, Carvel is incorporating plant-based options across several of its core product categories.

The permanent menu also expands Carvel’s customization options, giving customers additional choices across flavors, toppings, and dessert formats.

The rollout comes as restaurant and dessert chains continue to explore plant-based menu options to accommodate changing consumer preferences and dietary needs.

Carvel’s new non-dairy lineup is now available at participating locations nationwide.
