Chick-fil-A, for the first time, is releasing a cookbook to inspire at-home chefs. The digital cookbook focuses on repurposing leftovers at home, not just to help create delicious meals to share around a table, but to raise awareness about two major issues plaguing local communities: food insecurity and food waste, which Chick-fil-A is addressing through its Shared Table program.

Titled “Extra Helpings: Inspiring Stories and Imaginative Recipes from Chick-fil-A Shared Table,” the free cookbook includes:

Twenty-six easy-to-follow recipes utilizing Chick-fil-A menu items or common household leftover ingredients including Chick-fil-A fan-favorite former menu items including Coleslaw and Chicken Salad

Heartwarming stories from Chick-fil-A Shared Table nonprofit partners detailing how they repurpose food and care for those in need in local communities.

To date, nearly 2,000 participating Chick-fil-A restaurants have donated surplus food that has helped create more than 23 million meals for those in need. Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate a collective $1 million in October 2023 to help fight hunger.
