City Barbeque is celebrating its 20th anniversary with special prices on its national award–winning brisket. From August 1–14 only, guests can enjoy special prices on brisket sandwiches, lunch brisket sandwiches, and even brisket by the pound.
When the first City Barbeque opened its doors in 1999, the centerpiece of the menu was the brisket, a recipe that took first place in the American Royal World Series of Barbeque Invitational. Today, teams in every City Barbeque prepare it the same way, every day: each brisket is hand-rubbed with the joint’s signature dry rub, smoked over local hickory wood for up to 18 hours, and carved to order.
With its picture-perfect smoke ring, melt-in-your-mouth texture, and incredible flavor, this is the city’s best barbeque. “We put a lot of work into this brisket, and we’ve been improving it a little every day for the past 20 years,” says City Barbeque founder and CEO Rick Malir. “But if anything can top the feeling of that brisket winning the American Royal, it’s 20 years of serving and creating happiness with our food. Our brisket is delicious, we’re honored to serve it, and we’re excited to have folks help us celebrate 20 years.”
To thank guests for 20 wonderful years, City Barbeque will offer three brisket items at special prices for two weeks only. Guests can pick up a brisket sandwich for $7.49, a lunch brisket sandwich for $5.99, and brisket by the pound for $15.99 per pound.
