Corner Bakery Cafe signed two new multiunit franchise agreements to open new restaurants in Arizona and introduce its first restaurants in Wisconsin beginning in 2014.
The fast-casual brand’s new franchise partners include Blue Mountain Cafes Inc., which plans to open 13 restaurants in Phoenix over the next seven years, and Neo Fourno Inc., which plans to open 10 new restaurants in Madison and Milwaukee over the next five years.
"These markets are a perfect fit for Corner Bakery Cafe,” says Gregg Koffler, vice president of franchise sales. “Each community is known for its strong neighborhoods, and with our neighborhood approach to development, we expect each new restaurant to quickly become a favorite gathering place for local families and friends.”
Overall, the new franchise agreements add 23 cafes, raising the total to more than 300 committed cafes, as Corner Bakery Cafe moves forward on its goal to more than double its U.S. footprint in the next three to four years. Much of the rapid growth can be attributed to the company’s emphasis on multiunit national expansion and commitment to partnering with respected franchise leaders in the restaurant industry.
“As a leading brand in the fastest growing segment of the restaurant industry, there is no question that Corner Bakery Cafe has an advantage with $2.3 million AAVs and outstanding unit-level economics,” Koffler says. “Adding to that advantage, our new franchise partners include some of the most successful veteran restaurant professionals in the industry.”
Corner Bakery Cafe’s made-to-order menu features hot breakfast scramblers, signature panini sandwiches, soups, tossed salads, pastas, and sweets while.
