Just months after its entrance into the state, Costa Vida has announced the planned opening of its second location in Nevada. The new restaurant will open on Wednesday, February 26, and be located at 4965 Virginia Street in Reno, Nevada.
In celebration of the opening, Costa Vida will invite the local community to attend the grand opening event, which will include free entrées for a year for the first 30 guests in line, one free entrée per month for a year for the next 30 guests in line, and the remaining 40 guests will receive one free Costa Vida entrée.
This restaurant will mark the third Costa Vida franchise location for the restaurant group Desert Rock Management, which also owns the other Nevada location in Elko and another in Fillmore, Utah.
“There’s a large demand for fresh, quality Mexican food in Reno, and we think we do it better than anybody,” says Gary Moore, franchisee of the new Reno location. “We couldn’t be more excited to bring our third Costa Vida location to the Reno community. Whether it’s our succulent sweet pork burrito or Mahi Mahi fish tacos, our menu depth is sure to have something to please the pallet.”
Costa Vida food is made from scratch daily. The menu is inspired by the surfing culture and local cuisine of the Baja Peninsula Coast and features burritos, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, salads, and nachos. Protein choices include sweet pork, grilled chicken, shredded beef, raspberry chipotle chicken, grilled steak, and chile verde. Entrées are served with cilantro lime rice and black, refried, or pinto beans. House-made guacamole, sauces, and salsas can be used to customize any order and include Mango Salsa, Honey Habanero Salsa, Salsa Fresca, and Pico de Gallo.
With the exception of the flour and wheat tortillas and the tres leches and key lime pie desserts, Costa Vida’s menu items are gluten free.
