Mehdi Zarhloul, owner and founder of Crazy Pita Rotisserie & Grill, was selected by the Nevada District Office of the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as the 2018 Nevada SBA Small Business Person of the Year.

“I am honored to be recognized as the Nevada Small Business Person of the Year by the SBA,” says Zarhloul. “Receiving this prestigious award is a significant accomplishment. With the support that the SBA provides to small business owners like myself, Crazy Pita will continue to grow and develop and my team and I will strive to improve each community in which we operate.”

The SBA selects small business owners at the state level who possess strong entrepreneurial spirit and rich diversity. Judges award small business owners whose businesses meet the following criteria: a substantiated history as an established business, expansion, exporting, addition of territories, growth in square footage occupied, growth in number of employees, increase in sales, net profit and net worth, innovativeness of product or service offered, response to adversity and contributions to community-oriented projects with evidence of the use of personal time and resources.

The award ceremony to celebrate and recognize Zarhloul and other winners was held April 29-30 in Washington, D.C.
