Dave’s Hot Chicken announced it has inked a franchise agreement with Adam Shamel to open three locations in the greater Temecula, Murrieta, Wildomar, Menifee and Lake Elsinore area.
“I love the energy Adam brings to the table. He is a perfect fit for the Dave’s Hot Chicken team during this period of exciting growth for us,” says Bill Phelps, CEO of Dave’s Hot Chicken. “This area is ripe with opportunity, and I can’t wait to see what Adam does as he introduces Dave’s Hot Chicken to the region.”
Dave’s Hot Chicken works well in a variety of floor plans. The team is seeking endcaps with drive-thru infrastructure and a footprint of 2,000 to 2,200 square feet. Real estate developers should contact Blake Kaplan at (909) 702-3367 to review available space.
“I first heard about Dave’s Hot Chicken early last year and started browsing through their social media with my operating partner. The pictures of the food looked phenomenal, and I just knew I had to try it,” adds Shamel. “We took the two-and-a-half-hour drive to the Hollywood location and I was blown away at the flavor profile and spice levels. Once I researched the franchising opportunity and saw how simple it is to operate, along with the cravability of the food, I knew I had to be a part of this concept.”
Shamel brings with him a wealth of restaurant experience and introducing unfamiliar concepts to new areas. Previously, he introduced Jersey Mike’s to the High Desert when he opened three stores in the region.
“Adam is exactly the type of operating partner we are looking to grow alongside. As a cultural fit, we are confident he will create the same energy and experience in Temecula, Murrieta and Wildomar that we aim for in each restaurant,” says Shannon Swenson, Vice President of Franchise Development at Dave’s Hot Chicken. “Our focus is to partner with accomplished and savvy restaurant operators, and Adam fits that bill perfectly. We are thrilled to continue growing Dave’s Hot Chicken and we are excited for the months ahead.”
Founded by classically-trained chef Dave Kopushyan and three friends in early 2017, Dave’s Hot Chicken initially opened as a parking lot pop-up, with lines quickly wrapping around the block. Since then, the brand has exploded in popularity and now has multiple brick-and-mortar locations open in Southern California. Today, the fast-casual brand has its sights set on growing throughout the United States through franchising and has several multi-unit agreements in development.
Specializing in hot chicken tenders and sliders, with spice levels ranging from “No Spice” to “Reaper,” each restaurant also serves sides of house-made Kale Slaw, creamy Mac & Cheese and crispy Fries or Cheese Fries.
Dave’s Hot Chicken offers a robust business model, including national and local marketing support, proven systems, manuals and operating procedures, as well as assistance with site selection. As the brand expands, it is seeking qualified, experienced and passionate restaurant operators and franchise groups to develop the concept in key markets.
