Winona Capital Management, a private equity investment firm based in Chicago, promoted Jason Starr to vice president.
Starr, who joined the firm in 2007, brings over a decade of operational, entrepreneurial, and private equity experience to Winona Capital. In addition to serving as a director of Boloco restaurants, a Winona portfolio company, Starr is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring equity investments in high-growth, consumer-driven private companies.
Starr was previously an associate at Opus Capital, a principal at BoldTech Systems, and a manager at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Also prior to joining Winona Capital, Starr earned his MBA from the University of Chicago, where he focused on private equity, finance, and entrepreneurship.
