Freddy’s has grown to 10 locations in the San Antonio area with today’s opening at 5415 W. Loop 1604 near Sea World.

Freddy’s first arrived in Texas in early 2006 with its location on Interstate 35 at the Olympia Parkway exit to the Forum Shopping Center in Selma.

“We appreciate our guests and hope to consistently provide the food they love and the exceptional service that they’ve come to expect at Freddy’s,” says franchise operator James Oberg. “Freddy’s fans are the reason for our growth and we look forward to continuing the tradition with freshly-prepared, cooked-to-order steakburgers, piping hot crispy fries, desserts to write home about, and second-to-none hospitality.”

The first Texas store mentioned above was the sixth in the young chain. The newest Freddy’s brings the nationwide total to 69. The 19 Texas locations include recently opened restaurants in Houston and Bryan/College Station. Additional sites are under construction in Killeen and Austin with openings scheduled for the latter half of the year.

“The Freddy’s model is founded on core values that work everywhere and Texas is no exception. We all appreciate high-quality food served in a clean and welcoming environment,” says Freddy’s COO Scott Redler. “We have a great appreciation for the fact that our guests choose Freddy’s to celebrate a win on the football field or get together and reconnect with their family over dinner. It’s a special place and we look forward to seeing you there for a dish of creamy frozen custard.”
