Heavy sweaters and bulky coats are officially stowed away for winter, and Häagen-Dazs Shops is announcing May 8 as free cone day for customers visiting any participating location nationwide.

From 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, the Häagen-Dazs brand encourages consumers to stop by any of the more than 250 locations nationwide and enjoy a scoop of their favorite ice cream flavor, on the house.

“May is a time when communities across the nation start to say so long to winter woes and hello to the sweet sound of summer,” says Dawn Uremovich, president of Häagen-Dazs Shops. “We wanted to create a fun-filled afternoon that gets people out of their houses and we couldn’t think of a better way than to entice them with a free scoop of ice cream.”
