Frontline International, a company that designs and manufactures cooking oil storage, handling, and disposal equipment, has won the 2013 Kitchen Innovations (KI) Award from the National Restaurant Association (NRA).
Frontline won the award for its M3 System, an optional Web-based software package that accompanies the company’s waste oil containment systems, giving managers a dashboard for tracking oil usage, standardizing filtration, scheduling pickups, measuring diagnostics, and more.
M3 gives managers the information they need to optimize the quality of the oil in their fryers.
The age of oil, its chemical composition, fry temperature, and regular filtration affect the taste of fried foods. With M3, waste oil tanks become beacons of essential information and are the “smart” part of Frontline Smart Oil Management.
Tracking and adjusting oil change-out and filtration practices at store locations helps to ensure procedural uniformity, as well as food quality and consistency.
The optional M3 system works in concert with all Frontline waste oil management systems.
An independent, expert panel of judges selected award recipients to be showcased in the interactive Kitchen Innovations Pavilion (booth 2440) at the 2013 National Restaurant Association’s Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show, May 18–21 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
The company’s other recent honors include the NRA Kitchen Innovations 2012 Award for its patent-pending Box System for Dispensing Standard Packaged Oil.
