Opening soon at 134 Boylston St., Boston’s first Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh offers scratch-made wonder food packing a punch with delicious and nutritious ingredients. A modern twist to Old World cuisine, GARBANZO’s menu breaks down the traditional paradigm of the Mediterranean diet, taking Bostonians on a flavor vacay each and every bite.
Co-owned by longtime local Boston restaurant industry executive Derek St. George and his partners, brother and sister business duo, Leigha and Karl Schmidt, GARBANZO is propelling fresh Mediterranean to a mainstream dining staple.
“When you walk into our restaurant, you’ll be greeted with a free full-size sample of our famous falafel,” says Derek St. George, who has successfully introduced Boston to brands such as Blaze Pizza and Panera during his restaurant industry career dating back more than a decade. “It’s our warm Mediterranean welcome to you – GARBANZO’s way of showing that we’re excited to ‘break pita’ with you or in this case, a falafel, and make your day a little brighter knowing that you’ve come to the right place for a great meal. That’s what we’re all about.”
To celebrate the opening, Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh in Boston is offering free delivery via https://eatgarbanzo.com/online-ordering/ from July 20 – July 24. Following the weeklong extravaganza, fans can take advantage of the free delivery offer every Friday for seven consecutive weeks and continue to enjoy the flavors of the Mediterranean from the comfort of their homes.
Inspired by tradition but not bound by it, GARBANZO’s modern “co-creation” service model inspires diners to let their instincts rule when ordering. Every order is customized to the guest’s liking, with choices from top-quality meats and plant-based proteins to unique carriers like the Mediterranean version of the burrito – the laffa wrap and perfect, pillowy pitas injected with love are baked in-house throughout the day.
Guests can challenge their taste bud’s normal flavor threshold without taking any risks thanks to the GARBANZO Guarantee. If they don’t love it, GARBANZO will refund or remake their orders, or both. No questions asked.
Designed to help people feel better and ultimately “brighter” on the inside, GARBANZO’s delicious and nutritious menu of raveable and craveable Mediterranean flavors offers something for everyone to taste, savor and enjoy the moment, including those with dietary and lifestyle preferences. Menu items align with paleo, keto, gluten-free and vegan diets.
“The restaurant business is really easy as ‘P.I.E.”-̶ people, innovation and execution. I’m confident that Derek, Leigha and Karl have killer instincts for all three,” adds James Park, CEO of GARBANZO. “Boston plays a major role in our New England expansion plan and quite frankly, I don’t think there is a team out there better or bolder than this trio to expand our ‘Eat Better – Feel Brighter’ Movement into Massachusetts and the surrounding region.”
The new location marks the Denver-based chain’s debut into Massachusetts as it continues to grow its brand presence across the United States. St. George and the Schmidts plan to open four more locations in Boston over the next five years.
