Giardino Gourmet Salads, the fast-casual salad concept of South Florida, will add two new locations in South Florida this year: Giardino Miami Lakes and Giardino Weston. This equals 10 locations for the franchise, just in time for their 10th anniversary this year. Not only does this addition expand the concept in Broward County, it also marks the company’s first multiunit operators.

Giardino Miami Lakes is breaking ground this week and is scheduled to open the latter part of the summer by the company’s first multiunit operators, Jaime Mitrani and Robert Fuerth. Mitrani and Fuerth joined Giardino in 2012 when they took ownership of the company’s South Miami location. Since the purchase, South Miami has become one of the highest-grossing restaurants in the chain.

“The Giardino brand resonated with Rob and I from the start, which is why we’ve worked so hard to improve operations and establish a positive reputation for our location,” Mitrani says. “We feel proud to open a second location so quickly as it truly speaks to the power of this brand, and its potential for growth not only on a system-wide level, but for entrepreneurs like us.”

Giardino also welcomes new franchisees, Miguel Sierra and his wife, Claudia, who will open Giardino Weston this fall. Giardino first opened in Broward County in 2009 with its Miramar location.

“We strongly believe that Giardino is a perfect fit for the families of Weston,” Sierra says. “Weston has grown exponentially in the past few years, so it will be a great area to cultivate this concept.”

In addition to the new locations, Giardino also has restaurants in the neighborhoods of Blue Lagoon, Brickell, Coral Gables, Doral, Downtown Miami, Kendall, Miramar, and South Miami.
