Godfather’s Pizza will open a location in Albuquerque this July, according to franchise owner Laura Olguin. The restaurant will be located off of Northwest 98th and I-40, next to the Jack in the Box location Olguin also owns.
“This was a logical step for Godfather’s Pizza as they look to expand in areas situated in the Southwest region of the U.S. It was just a matter of time, and I’m excited I can be a part of it,” she says.
Godfather’s Pizza operates more than 600 franchise locations across the country. Director of franchise development Dave Gartlan says the Albuquerque restaurant will include some offerings not found at other Godfather’s Pizza locations.
“The new restaurant will feature a more ‘lounge style’ setting and include a green chili-based pizza exclusive to this particular store,” he says.
When asked about the potential for additional restaurants to be opened in the Albuquerque area, Olguin says, “Stay tuned. This is just the first of multiple locations planned for the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho areas. The residents of New Mexico will be very pleased.”
Although specific grand opening dates are still being finalized, the new restaurant is taking applications for all positions and is currently looking to hire between seven to ten management trainees. All applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
