The Krystal Company announced the appointment of Rodney Lee as its new CFO and executive vice president effective June 1. Formerly with Fazoli’s and Yum! Brands, Lee brings over 25 years of experience in the quick-service restaurant industry, with more than 14 of those years serving at the chief financial officer level.

“We are very fortunate to be able to bring someone of Rodney’s caliber to our executive leadership team,” says Omar Janjua, CEO for The Krystal Company. “I’ve personally known and worked with Rodney in the past, and I’ve seen first-hand his ability to make a tremendous impact on business results through people.”

During his tenure with Fazoli’s, Lee helped drive seven years of positive comps and recorded the most profitable year for the company in its history. Lee has also been responsible for similar results while serving as the chief financial officer and chief operating officer of a large franchise group within the Pizza Hut system. His considerable knowledge and insight into finance and operations were key factors in The Krystal Company’s decision to bring Lee on board.

“I look forward to contributing to a brand with a strong market presence and a loyal, growing audience,” Lee says. “My top priority is ensuring the continued success and longevity of this iconic Southern brand.”

Lee is a graduate of Baylor University in Texas, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a focus in Finance and Operations. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas.
