L&L Hawaiian Barbecue has officially opened a location in Bonney Lake, Washington, bringing island-style Plate Lunch favorites to a fast-growing community just off Highway 410. The restaurant is owned and operated by cousins Robert Ramos and Ephraim Rollolazo, who are opening their first L&L location together after years of building a food business rooted in family, culture and community connection.

The Story Behind the Franchise Owners

While this is their first L&L restaurant, Robert and Ephraim bring hands-on food and business experience to the table. For several years, the cousins operated a successful mobile food business, serving concerts, community events and county fairs throughout Washington. What started as a passion quickly became something more meaningful, turning long hours and busy service into a rewarding way to connect with people through food.

Both cousins came from traditional careers, one in tech and the other in the dental field, but found themselves drawn to the energy of building something together. Opening an L&L represents the next chapter of that journey, allowing them to serve their community year-round while creating a family-run business built to last.

For them, Bonney Lake stood out as the right place to grow. With new neighborhoods, young families and increasing diversity, the area offered an opportunity to introduce a local-style menu that feels personal. Located in a high-traffic retail center surrounded by major anchors, the cousins hope their restaurant becomes a welcoming gathering place for families, friends and neighbors.
