Los Angeles gourmet sandwich shop, Marcona, is getting a head start on Thanksgiving celebrations by running a $5-a-piece turkey sandwich special on Friday, November 22. The $5 promo is good for two Thanksgiving-themed sandwiches created just for this occasion, during main lunch hours, between noon and 4 p.m.
Marcona’s resident chef, Andy Sonnefeld, is offering diners two turkey sandwich options from which to choose: One leaning towards a turkey leftover classic; the other an inventive, piled-high turkey creation. The Marcona Thanksgiving sandwich will include house-roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce, served on a baguette, while the Honey Fried Turkey will entail honey-fried turkey, brie, bacon, tart apples, mashed avocado, pickled onion, sprouts, and stone-ground honey mustard, on a seven grain bread.
Marcona features East Coast deli fare influenced by classic European techniques, but with a West Coast approach. The menu prominently features sandwiches, but also includes salads, sides, and sweets. Marcona has full-service catering, pick-up, and delivery order services, for anything from smaller office lunches to craft service to large-scale events, both corporate and private.
