Maui Wowi Hawaiian has become a sponsor of the Denver Cutthroats, a franchise of the Central Hockey League (CHL) and affiliate of the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche. Maui Wowi Franchise Owner Erik Boller has signed a contract with the hockey team to be a sponsor for its inaugural 2012-2013 season, being played at the Denver Coliseum.

“Being a sponsor of the Denver Cutthroats is a great opportunity for Maui Wowi,” says Boller, who will also be operating a mobile unit inside the coliseum. “This will put our brand and quality products in front of thousands of fans all season long.”

Boller, who became a Maui Wowi franchisee nearly two years ago, has made a name for himself in the Denver community. He currently operates two mobile carts at the National Western Complex, located across from the Denver Coliseum. Boller serves all-natural, made to order fruit smoothies, and hot cups of Hawaiian coffee at events such as the National Western Stock Show and the Denver County Fair. There are also mobile units located seasonally at the Cherry Creek Farmer’s Market, 16th Street Pedestrian Mall, as well as other events throughout the year.

As a sponsor of the Denver Cutthroats, Maui Wowi will be featured on the score board during games, and is also being promoted through the team’s social media pages and website.
The Denver Cutthroats were established earlier this year and mark the return of professional hockey to the Denver Coliseum. The team will be led by Head Coach Derek Armstrong, an NHL Veteran, and is comprised of top players with experience in Canada’s major junior leagues, the NHL, and the AHL.
