McDonald’s is recognizing those who serve our country and communities through the
National Salute to America’s Heroes.

The national program celebrates the
heroic efforts of the more than 25 million U.S. Veterans, nearly 1.5
million active-duty military personnel and countless individuals dedicated
to serving others including teachers, law enforcement, firefighters, EMS,
healthcare providers, community leaders, volunteers and all those who serve
their community and country.

For the fifth consecutive year, McDonald’s will sponsor Fleet Week USA
in Fort Lauderdale. Taking place May 1-7, 2006, Fleet Week USA features a
week of activities to honor the men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed
Forces and our communities.

“For more than 50 years, McDonald’s has been supporting the people and
the communities where we do business,” said Ralph Alvarez, President
McDonald’s North America.

McDonald’s Air & Sea Show, May 6-7, 2006, a free public event,
concludes the week’s festivities. This Show is one of the world’s largest
spectator events featuring air and sea exhibitions from all five branches
of the U.S. Military as well as civilian performances. The 2006 McDonald’s
Air & Sea Show will include acts from The U.S. Navy Blue Angels
Demonstration Team and the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.
