The best-tasting burger in America is coming to St. Charles. MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes, renowned for its mouthwatering made-to-order burgers, hand-cut french fries and handspun shakes, announced today that local entrepreneurs, Mark and Monica Notz, along with their partners, have signed a lease to bring the first location in a three-unit development deal to the St. Charles area.

The new restaurant, located at 2027 State Highway K in Frontier Plaza, is planned to open in late March 2024 and will be the first traditional location for the brand in the state of Missouri.

“I’ve been in the restaurant industry my entire life, starting as a shift manager at McDonald’s when I was sixteen, and eventually owning my own healthy eating cafe inside a medical community for seven years,” says Mark Notz, a classically trained chef and seasoned restaurant operator. “At the concept I was previously working at, two regular guests at the restaurant approached Monica and me and they asked if I was ready to take the next step in my career journey. They offered to help – as long as it was something that we all felt passionate about, enter MOOYAH, with its high-quality, delicious foods and amazing hospitality. Today they are our wonderful partners.”

Mark’s background includes management roles at McDonald’s, Freddy’s and Domino’s, as well as entrepreneurial ventures in computer services. The couple’s wealth of experience reflects their lifelong entrepreneurial spirits and has paved the way for their exciting venture in bringing a high-quality franchise to the Greater St. Charles area. Furthermore, Mark and Monica’s dedication to connecting with employees, particularly those facing hardship, has resulted in lasting and meaningful relationships that extend beyond the workplace.

“Mark and Monica are a perfect fit for MOOYAH. They have proved themselves as great restaurant operators who are passionate about quality. They know that to create the best tasting burgers, you need to start with great ingredients and do things the right way,” says Doug Willmarth, president of MOOYAH. “Our franchise system will become better with them in it, and we look forward to their upcoming opening in O’Fallon this spring and more to come in the St. Charles area.”

In addition to its fresh menu items made using high quality ingredients, MOOYAH has mastered the art of burger customization. The brand’s high-quality ingredients, which include Certified Angus Beef that is smashed, seared and seasoned to perfection, fresh cut veggies, baked in-house buns, hand-cut fries and shakes made with real ice cream, serve as key differentiators that make MOOYAH the best-tasting burger concept in the fast-casual restaurant category.

With a fully built-out and multi-faceted support team, the 90 unit brand recently announced the additional markets it is prioritizing for future franchise growth. Advancing its U.S. growth plans with targets including the West Coast, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, New England, Southeast and Texas, ideal franchise candidates possess the infrastructure to sustain their chosen markets and an unwavering passion to transform the quick service restaurant industry.
