Mr. Pickle’s Sandwich Shop, a beloved family of quick-service restaurants which has grown to more than 60 locations across Arizona and California, will celebrate National Sandwich Day 2023 on Friday, Nov. 3 with a week-long promotion of the brand’s revamped Pickle Points Program.

The new Pickle Points Program allows customers to earn one Pickle Point for every dollar spent online or at a Mr. Pickle’s location, which can then be redeemed for delicious menu items. In celebration of the upcoming National Sandwich Day, customers who enroll in the Pickle Points Reward Program and place an order from Oct. 28 – Nov. 2 will earn double Pickle Points on their order, all leading up to the special day on Nov. 3, when customers will relish double the double Pickle Points for their order.

“With five new locations in Arizona this year and counting as well as new franchise groups in California, Mr. Pickle’s has emerged as one of the fastest-growing brands in the country,” says Mike Nelson, chief executive officer, Valley resident and long-time customer who purchased the brand in 2020 when founders/owners Frank and Michele Fagundes decided to retire. “Given the growth of the brand, the refresh of the Pickle Point Program and our profound love for sandwiches, we are thrilled to take part in the fun of National Sandwich Day by providing more opportunities for customers to earn mouthwatering rewards such as free drinks, deli salads and half or whole sandwiches.”

Some of Mr. Pickle’s most popular hot and cold sandwiches include the Mr. Pickle, which is chicken breast, bacon, Monterey jack, avocado and the works as it relates to veggies; the Santa Maria Tri-Tip, which is actual tri-tip sourced from the famed Santa Maria region topped with specialty barbeque sauce and the works; and Big Jake, a turkey sandwich with cream cheese, avocado and the works.

“Mr. Pickle’s is unique in that it doesn’t turn to big-box vendors for its ingredients, instead partnering with artisan bakers, regional farms, and ranches to source its products, making every item unique to us. You will not see six-inch and footlong sizing from us, but more specialty breads than uniform options,” adds Nelson. “And we aren’t just hamming it up, sandwiches really mean that much to us at Mr. Pickle’s.”

Nelson also notes the 10 types of bread and wraps to choose from at Mr. Pickle’s, including the Dutch crunch roll, sourdough roll, sweet roll, wheat roll, sliced sourdough, sliced wheat, sliced marble rye, and various wraps, including gluten-free wraps. In addition to a wide selection of chips, sides include red potato salad, macaroni salad, jumbo whole dill pickles (of course!), and fresh baked chocolate chunk cookies–free with every sandwich, salad or wrap.

In addition to the revamp of the Pickle Point Program, the Mr. Pickle’s mobile app has also undergone a comprehensive redesign to enhance its user-friendly interface, which improves on the customer experience by offering seamless mobile ordering at the forefront, easier viewing and redeeming of Pickle Points, gift card purchases and more. In the past year, Mr. Pickle’s also partnered with DoorDash and invested in Paytronix Systems, Inc., the most advanced digital guest experience platform, for its loyalty, order, delivery, mobile and gift system.
