Mrs. Winner’s Chicken & Biscuits, a southeastern quick-service restaurant brand, is re-establishing its brand footprint in Atlanta with the help of experienced restaurant veteran Gyrone Hilliard. Located at 4350 Fulton Industrial Blvd SW next to the Waffle House, Hilliard’s new location marks the third Mrs. Winner’s restaurant in the greater Atlanta area.

Mrs. Winner’s strong customer loyalty, recent systems upgrades, and reputation for traditional, high-quality southern food is what attracted Hilliard to the brand. He brings 16 years of operations experience to Mrs. Winner’s, having previously worked as the Director of Operations for several high-profile quick-service burger and chicken franchises. Looking to give back to the community, Hilliard plans to donate to local organizations and charities in the area through the restaurant.

“I’m incredibly excited to open Mrs. Winner’s third location in Atlanta and to bring delicious, traditional southern food to the Fulton Industrial District,” said Hilliard. “In fact, everyone is excited to see Mrs. Winner’s return to Atlanta, and with the recent updates that have been made to the brand, I’m confident the community will discover Mrs. Winner’s is even better than ever.”

While known for its authentic southern fried chicken, Mrs. Winner’s distinctive menu also features freshly-made biscuit sandwiches, mouth-watering cinnamon rolls, delicious sweet tea and a selection of hearty side items. Mrs. Winner’s is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and encourages guests to “be true to their hunger” while indulging in traditional, southern-style fare.

Mrs. Winner’s was founded in 1979 by former KFC owner, Jack Massey. Massey helped build Mrs. Winner’s into an iconic southern fried chicken brand with 184 restaurants at its peak. Under new ownership since 2013, Mrs. Winner’s has been adapted to meet the needs the 21st Century consumer. With updated technology, elevated customer service and new items being added to the menu, Mrs. Winner’s continues to serve the same authentic southern food with a modern flare.

“I consistently hear from customers wanting Mrs. Winner’s back in their communities, so we’re excited to open another Atlanta-area restaurant to provide this great community with delicious, authentic southern food,” says John Buttolph, CEO of Mrs. Winner’s.

Currently, Mrs. Winner’s operates 14 locations throughout Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee and looks to add 25 to 50 new locations over the next five years.
