PizzaRev announced today an agreement with restaurateurs Marc Phaneuf, Jr. and Marc Phaneuf, Sr., to bring Los Angeles' build-your-own pizza concept to Boston. The freshly inked deal calls for at least 10 PizzaRev locations to open throughout Boston in the next four years.
This is the 14th franchise group PizzaRev has partnered with to expand the fast-casual pizza concept across the country. The Phaneufs and team have more than 20 years of restaurant operating experience and currently own and operate eight Hooters restaurants in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York.
“We were seeking a brand to complement the success of our casual dining restaurants, and after exploring several fast-casual pizza franchises, PizzaRev was the standout,” Phaneuf says. “The concept embodies everything that has made the fast-casual dining segment so popular: quality food and a superior guest experience, without sacrificing speed. PizzaRev will soon be Boston’s favorite new pizza spot.”
Dubbed the “Pizza without Compromise,” PizzaRev offers fully customized, personal pizzas that are oven-fired in three minutes. PizzaRev’s dough is homemade daily and proofed for 24 hours, while state-of-the-art dough presses allow the crew to create more than 100 pizzas per hour. Organic red sauce and all-natural Italian cheese are among PizzaRev’s staple ingredients, and the culinary team continuously seeks out locally sourced ingredients to add to its list of artisinal toppings.
