NAI Farbman, the brokerage arm of leading full-service commercial real estate firm Farbman Group, announced today a first-to-market real estate lease has been executed in Detroit at 18845 Mack Ave. on behalf of Culver’s.

“We’re proud to stand alongside the Culver’s franchise and provide them with the support needed to thrive as they expand into the Detroit market for the very first time,” said Harrison Yaldoo, Vice President at NAI Farbman. “With our firm rooted in the suburbs of the Motor City, we’re honored to work with this Midwest-based brand to make their expansion goals a reality in the city we call home.”

The Culver’s brand was founded by Craig and Lea Culver in Sauk City, Wisconsin in 1984. What started as a small, family-run operation has evolved into a franchise with over 1000 locations, which has been driven by its strong sales and diverse menu offerings nationwide.

“The opening of this location serves as an exciting milestone, not only for the Culver’s brand, but for the City of Detroit,” said Eric Matoy, owner/operator at Culver’s Detroit. “We are excited to bring our delicious cooked-to-order ButterBurgers®, and fresh frozen custard to our Detroit and Grosse Pointe guests.”

Originally constructed as a bank in 1949, the 4,500-square-foot Detroit Culver’s location was transformed into a go-to dining destination through several key transformations to bring the Culver’s brand to life. Much of the building’s limestone exterior was preserved, and the vault door located near the dining area will also remain at the site, serving as a nod to the building’s heritage. The locally owned and operated restaurant will feature menu items including the fan favorite ButterBurgers®, a wide array of frozen custard offerings and a selection of chicken, seafood and beverage options.

Culver’s Detroit opened on December 15, 2025. Farbman Group’s Harrison Yaldoo represented Culver’s and the landlord in the transaction.
