The National Turkey Federation named Foster Farms’ veteran Yubert Envia as its new chairman at the group’s Annual Convention. As the organization’s leader, Envia will represent the interests of the $8 billion turkey industry and will also have the honor of presenting the President Obama with the National Thanksgiving Turkey in November. Envia is the vice president of Turkey and Prepared Foods for family-owned Foster Farms where he has spent 21 years working.
Envia is optimistic about the future of the turkey industry and looks forward to leading the NTF through collaborative advancements. “I am honored to represent my colleagues in addressing legislative, regulatory and food safety challenges, exploring innovation, and ultimately ensuring the viability of our industry,” he says.
