East Coast Wings & Grill is spreading its wings to the Northeast and landing in Philadelphia with its new restaurant at 2539 Castor Avenue. As part of its strategic national franchise expansion, the new location is the first of multiple restaurants the company plans to open in the next three to five years in Pennsylvania.

“For years, customers have been travelling south to our North Carolina locations to fulfill their chicken wing fix,” says Sam Ballas, CEO of East Coast Wings & Grill, a North Carolina–based, casual family dining restaurant with more than 80 units in various stages of development nationwide. “With our first location in Philly, we’re finally able to deliver our award-winning recipes to the Key Stone State. The Philadelphia market is key to our franchise’s national expansion efforts as we work to gain a toehold in the Northeast.”

The brand puts the spotlight on buffalo wings, offering nationally award-winning wing sauces mixed to order with the freshest ingredients. Inspired by different cultures—The Islands, Tex Mex, Classic American, Asian, Southern BBQ, European, Bayou, and more—community members can enjoy dozens of different flavors of chicken wings and choose from nine heat intensities.

While wings remain a staple, the restaurant’s vast menu includes burgers, salads, sandwiches, and more and caters to every family member’s cravings. Ballas adds, “East Coast Wings & Grill provides a unique dining experience that deviates from traditional chicken wing establishments. With our focus on great-tasting, freshly prepared food for families, we create a warm and inviting setting that leaves customers feeling a sense of community.”

Locally owned and operated by Tony Chong, the Philadelphia East Coast Wings & Grill location will be hosting a grand opening celebration in September 2015 for the new restaurant.
